Big Things Are Happening In Salem…

If you haven’t logged into either Town of Salem or Town of Salem 2 in a while, you may have missed some big changes.

The developers are committed to making both Town of Salem games better than ever, as well as exploring more ways to bring Townies together so they can play no matter where they are, or which device they have!

We have plenty of surprises in the works, but here are five big things you need to know about the future of Town of Salem:

• Now on Discord: The original Town of Salem is now playable as a Discord Activity, making it even easier for your to deceive and deduce with your friends.

• Console Debut: Both Town of Salem and Town of Salem 2 will be launching for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, allowing you to play from the comfort of your living room (or wherever your console set-up is)

• Revamped UI: Ensuring console players are on a level playing field with those on PC and mobile, we’re overhauling the game’s systems with (among other things) an innovative new chat wheel that allows you to effortlessly carry out your next deception
  ​
• Cross-Platform Play: Already available between PC and mobile, the addition of console versions will enable friends to join each other in any Town of Salem match – no matter which device they’re on
  ​
• New ways to play Town of Salem: We’re continuing to explore untapped opportunities for players to access their favourite games, giving them more choice in where they want to play

And That’s Not All!

• New Roles: Town of Salem 2 has added new roles: Oracle, Catalyst & Cultist
• Role Balance Changes: Dozens of roles have received tweaks & even larger reworks to make the game feel more balanced
• New Platforms: Last year we (re)launched Town of Salem 2 on iOS and Android, giving Townies a way to deduce and deceive wherever they go, with even more platforms upcoming! (more info on these new launches below)​
  
  

• Active Moderation: The Town of Salem team continues to find new ways to create and maintain a fair, welcoming environment for all players, including device bans for Town of Salem 2

• Streamlined Support: A brand new FAQ & Support page on the Town of Salem website makes it quicker and more seamless than ever to receive help and information
  ​
• Improved Backend: Town of Salem 2 now uses a new, stronger backend system with improved security and modernized features
  ​
• QoL + Bug Fixes: Over the last year, the developers have introduced numerous bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements and exciting new content
  ​
• New Game Modes: Town of Salem 2 has a new casual mode with rotating role decks + limited time special All Any rotating versions that go live every other weekend
  ​
• Cosmetic DLCs & Shop Offerings: Town of Salem 2 has new cosmetic DLC bundles & even more in-game shop offerings to give you more options for customizing your character, house & environment
